The Department of Electricity & Energy is hosting an official visit of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Acting Director for Africa, Department of Technical Cooperation, Mr Gashaw Gebeyehu Wolde and Programme Management Officer, Mr Michel Warnau responsible for Africa.
The IAEA Director and Mr Warnau will be engaging with national counterparts and stakeholders, review the implementation of the IAEA Technical Cooperation and AFRA programmes, assess progress and achievements and discuss the future priorities for cooperation between South Africa and IAEA.
Mr Zizamele Mbambo, the DEE Deputy Director General responsible for Nuclear Resources, welcomed Mr Wolde and Mr Warnau at the NuMeRI facility at the Steve Biko Academic Hospital in Tshwane.
