Among others, the DEC aims to:

identify opportunities to roll out relevant and specific programmes.
The DEC comprises representatives from the DEE, Eskom, the District and local municipalities, the agriculture and business sectors, along with broader society.
The Deputy Minister said; “This second launch is a continuation of our collaborative approach with municipalities and civil society to ensure we keep energy-related issues at the forefront of discussions between government and broader society. This is an exciting and historic moment for the residents of this district. We are looking forward to sharing this occasion with them.”
